2012: Selected
Second Team All-Mountain West Conference (Coaches & Media selection) for
the 2012 college football season. Played in 13 games.
2011:
Named a second-team all-Mountain West pick. 2011 midseason all-Mountain West
third team by Phil Steele. Started every game, helping the Aztecs rush for
nearly 2,400 yards. Made his first career start at center (17th overall) vs.
Cal Poly. Started at Army despite playing with a broken right hand (he snapped
with his left hand). Played the entire game at center vs. Washington State and Michigan. Registered a tackle in a loss to
TCU. Started again at Air Force, vs. Wyoming, vs. New Mexico, at Colorado State, against Boise State, at UNLV and against Fresno State. Played the entire New Orleans
Bowl game.
2010:
Starter at left guard in all 13 outings, helping SDSU rush for over 2,000 yards
and surrender only nine sacks.
2009: Made
his SDSU debut as a reserve vs. both Southern Utah and Idaho. Took over the starting duty at
left guard at Air Force. Also started vs. New Mexico State and BYU, before going down with a
season-ending knee injury.
2008: One
of two backups at center with Damian Shankle. Did not see action and used his
redshirt season.
High
School: Starred at J.K. Mullen High School, helping the Mustangs to a
combined 25-2 overall record and a 14-0 mark in conference play his final two
seasons, claiming a pair of Centennial League titles, under coach Dave Logan.
One of 20 offensive linemen named to the 2007-08 Tacoma News Tribune Western
100, a list of the top football recruits in the West. 2007 PrepColorado
all-state first-team offense. Team advanced to the state 5A championship game
his first three years, winning the title his freshman campaign. Mullen made it
to the state semifinals his senior season when he served as team captain.
First-team all-conference honors in 2006 and 2007, and honorable mention as a
sophomore. Academic all-state as a freshman and junior.
