2012: Started 10 games. Suffered an ankle injury.
2011: Started his 28th career game vs. Toledo. Started all 12 games in 2011. Part
of an offensive line that allowed only 11 sacks and tied for 12th in the nation
for fewest sacks allowed. Protected quarterback Keith Wenning, who threw for
2,786 yards -- the third most in a Ball State single season -- and set the
single-season record with 287 completions. Blocked for true freshman running
back Jahwan Edwards, who rushed for 786 yards and 11 touchdowns.
2010: Started the first seven games of the season
before suffering an ankle injury. Played in 10 games. Earned second letter.
2009: Played in all 12 games to earn first letter. Started
nine contests, including six of the final seven. Helped block for an offense
which tallied over 3,500 yards in total offense.

School: Attended Lake Central High School in Indiana. Earned three letters in football
for Coach Bill Melby. Also lettered three seasons in baseball. Football: Helped
team to a 7-6 overall record as a senior and the Indians’ first sectional
championship game appearance since the 2000 season. Indiana Football Coaches Association
Top-50. Hammond Times All-Area as a senior. All-Duneland Conference and
Academic All-State as a senior. Lake Central team captain as a senior. Named
school’s Defensive Lineman of the Year in final campaign. Tallied 37 tackles,
12 tackles for loss and seven sacks in senior season. Managed 21 sacks, 17
knockdowns, 134 tackles and 32 tackles for loss in career.

Son of Mike and Sherry Manick. Born Aug. 26, 1990, in Munster, Ind.. Two sisters and one brother. Managed
a 3.025 grade-point average last fall. Full
name is Daniel Joseph Manick.
