2017: Started all 13 games at center.
Earned All-ACC Honorable Mention recognition. Extended streak to 17 straight
starts on offensive line, beginning in 2016. Started season opener at center
and helped lead offense to 550-yard performance against Bethune-Cookman (Sept.
2). Made second straight start of season at center in win over Toledo (Sept.
23) that included 587 yards of total offense and 254 rushing yards. Started at
center in win at Duke (Sept. 29), where Miami piled up 409 yards of offense. Started
at center in win at Florida State (Oct. 7). Helped lead offense to 481-yard
performance, including 184 rushing yards, in start at center against Georgia
Tech (Oct. 14). Started at center and helped lead team to win over Syracuse
(Oct. 21), with Hurricanes piling up 480 offensive yards. Made start at center
and helped offense gain 415 total yards in win at North Carolina (Oct. 28). Helped
power Miami to win over Virginia Tech (Nov. 4) with start at center, leading
offense to 429-yard performance including 210 rushing yards. Played important
role in win over Notre Dame (Nov. 11), starting at center and helping guide
offense to 374 yards, including 237 rushing yards. Started at center against
Virginia (Nov. 18). Started at center at Pittsburgh (Nov. 24) and in ACC
Championship Game against Clemson (Dec. 2). Started at center in Capital One
Orange Bowl against Wisconsin (Dec. 30).
2016: Started final four games
of season at left guard. Saw action in season opener against Florida A&M
(Sept. 3). Made first start of career at left guard in win at Virginia (Nov.
12), helping lead offense to 450-yard performance, including 222 rushing yards.
Made second straight start at left guard in win at NC State (Nov. 19), guiding
Miami to 415 total yards of offense. Started third straight game at left guard
in regular season finale win over Duke (Nov. 26), helping lead offense to
568-yard performance. Started at left guard in Russell Athletic Bowl victory
over West Virginia (Dec. 28), helping lead offense to 363 yards and 31 points.
2015: Saw action in four games
as reserve offensive lineman.
High School: Earned a consensus
three-star rating by ESPN, Rivals, Scout and 247Sports. Ranked as the
third-best offensive guard in the state of Florida according to Scout. Earned
First Team All-State honors. Helped Venice High
School in Florida to the Regional semifinals. Saw action at every position on the offensive line throughout his football career. Chose Miami over offers f om Arizona, Missouri and Purdue.
